How to use it
Print & verify
Print the page at 100% scale, then check it: the test line must measure exactly 50 mm with a ruler, and a bank card must fit the outlined box precisely. If either is off, reprint with scaling disabled.
Match a ring
Lay a ring that fits the intended finger over the circles. The right size is the circle that exactly touches the inside edge of the band all the way around.
Or wrap the strip
No ring available? Cut out the strip, wrap it snugly around the base of the finger, and read the millimetre mark where it overlaps zero. That number is your circumference — and also your EU/ISO size.
Printable vs on-screen: which is more accurate?
Both give jeweller-grade results when done carefully, and each has a failure mode. Paper fails when the printer silently rescales the page — which is why our PDF includes the 50 mm check line and bank-card box. The on-screen sizer fails when the display isn't calibrated — which is why it makes you match a bank card before measuring. Our honest recommendation: use the on-screen tool for speed, print this PDF when you want to double-check an important purchase, and if the two agree, you can order with confidence.
Converting your result
The strip gives you a circumference in millimetres; the circles give US sizes with diameters printed underneath. To translate either result into UK, EU, Japanese or Indian sizes, use the converter or the full international chart on our homepage. As a quick reference: 52 mm circumference is US 6, 54.4 mm is US 7, 57 mm is US 8, and 62 mm is US 10.
